HighChem Technology Co., Ltd, was incorporated in December 2015 in Tokyo, Japan.

The head office of the HighChem Group（https://highchem.co.jp/）(HighChem Company Limited) began the operation of syngas to ethylene glycol （SEG^®） technology lisensing projects in 2009 and successively established the wholly owned technology business and catalyst production subsidiaries in Beijing (Beijing Booming HighChem Technology Co., Ltd) and Nantong (HighChem (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd.).In response to the rapid grouth of the business, HighChem transferred the syngasto ethylene glycol （SEG^®） business to HighChem Technology Co., Ltd.,and integrated Beijing Booming HighChem Technology Co., Ltd.; HighChem (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd.;and HighChem Technology Co., Ltd.,and other units with various business functions in 2016, so that the organization could more effectively focus on the C1 chemical technology licensing business.

※ SEG™ was originally developed by Ube but process updating and refining was done jointly by HighChem Company, Ltd. and East China Engineering Science ＆ Technology Company,Ltd., based on operating data gathered from UBE pilot plant.
