Successful Hoisting of Elevated Torch System for the Tianying Ethylene Glycol Project
The elevated torch system for the Xinjiang Tianying ethylene glycol project was successfully hoisted on April 12, 2017.
The successful hoisting of the torch system was four days ahead of schedule and was praised by the owner. The inside of the torch system consists of a bottom water-sealed tank, central torch stack, upper molecular sealer, and torch burner; the outer side is supported by a tower with a total height of 48 m and a total weight of about 40 tons.
After assembling the components of the torch system, we hoisted the components using 180 t and 130 t cranes as the master cranes and a 70 t crane as the tailing crane. The successful hoisting of the torch set a good example for the hoisting of large equipment in May, which encouraged participant units of the project greatly and created favorable conditions for mechanical completion in December.
